GRe4N BOYZ, a renowned Japanese artist group, changed their group name in March 2024.For the cover of their first album after the name change, they decided to recreate the same characters and composition as their debut album cover. The aim was to evoke memories of their first album cover across Japan. This approach specifically targeted the generation that was familiar with their music, with the goal of informing them about the group’s name change and new beginning.

We symbolized the group’s rebirth through the evolution of the man on the album cover. The overall visual concept was inspired by a mysterious story with him as the main character.

Unlike the original debut album cover, which was created with a single stock photo, this project involved capturing a sequence of images to depict the man’s transformation and flight.

The model was carefully selected to resemble the original, with hair, makeup, and styling enhancing the likeness.

To reflect the dreamlike story, we used filters that created a glowing effect and incorporated vivid, surreal color reflections. These adjustments enhanced the richness and saturation of the image, creating a striking contrast with the airy, fresh feel of the original debut album.

The reappearance of the debut album figure resonated with fans on social media, sparking widespread engagement as they celebrated the group’s transformation. Upon release, the album ranked 13th on sales charts, boosting GRe4N BOYZ’s visibility and marking a successful new chapter in their journey.
